Shrimp Fried Rice Remix!


So who doesn’t like some good ole’ shrimp fried rice?  Let’s be real everyone likes it.  Even picky me… I hate peas and literally pick out every single one that they normally put in fried rice just because I like it that much.  So I decided to make my own concoction of it, which turned out scrumptious!  So here’s how I made it!


  • shrimp
  • quinoa
  • carrots, chopped
  • onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • red pepper, chopped
  • green pepper, chopped
  • garlic, minced
  • pepper
  • ginger
  • hoisen sauce
  • light soy sauce
  • garlic powder
  • black beans, drained/rinsed
  • sesame oil

Directions: It’s pretty simple… chop up all the veggies that you want to put into it.  Cook quinoa as directed on package.  In a wok or big pan put about 1 TBSP of sesame oil and dump in the raw veggies and shrimp (shrimp can be added later if it’s already cooked), then add in the egg and fry it up on one side of the pan and chop it up once cooked.  Then add all the seasonings, quinoa (once cooked), sauces, and black beans.  Sauté for a bit and it’s ready!  Super simple and super good.  Plus probably a lot less calories than what you get at Panda Express. :D
