Looking for a yummy, easy recipe. I would definitely constitute this as one, but forewarning: MUST LIKE EATING LEFTOVERS! This recipe made a lot when you’re cooking for two, but would probably be a hit at a big party or a family meal. Btw, this recipe is NOT paleo friendly, but it’s a good one for gluten-free peeps!
- 3 large chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup blackberry jam
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup diced onion (left these out since my husband doesn’t like them)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
First get your crock pot out and throw the breasts in there. Then mix together honey, soy sauce, jam, hoisin, oil, garlic, and onion in a bowl and pour over the chicken. Cook on LOW for 4-5 hours.
Remove chicken and shred with a fork. Put back into the crockpot. Stir it up and serve! I didn’t do the whole steps to the real recipe, but if you want to follow the original recipe please click here!
Hope you all give it a shot sometime. This could be great for sandwiches, a bbq, over rice, or alone. As you can see I ate it alone with a side of asparagus. Nom nom! Enjoy! :)
